  • Example: The man and his dog. One of my favorite examples of why I prefer CTF (call to feel) > CTA (call to action) especially when building brand awareness and affinity.

  • Example: A Facebook post about a dean finishing up his degree in IT and moving into a position in that field > any general post about retention or “opportunities for growth.” GO POLARS (this is my alma mater!)

(4) MPS Communications Overview - an example of a document that we share with new staff to orient them to our key audiences and the tools we use to communicate with them. Also a helpful tool to identify any potential gaps or opportunities to better communicate with specific stakeholders.

(5) Internal Communications Plan Example - our current plan that I built that includes goals and tactics.

(6) Observances and Observations Calendar - this calendar was created in order to inform our community about the observances and observations that matter the most to our community and is evidence of our value of equity, representation and anti-racism.

(7) Gitlab’s Employee Handbook - This is a wonderful example of branding from the inside out. This employee handbook can be edited by any person who works for the company AND (most of it ;) is public which is evidence of their value of transparency.
