Facebook Fellowship - The Facebook Fellowship Program is designed to encourage and support promising doctoral students who are engaged in innovative and relevant research in areas related to computer science and engineering. Winners of the Fellowship are entitled to receive two years of tuition and fees paid, a stipend of $37,000 each year, and up to $5,000 in conference travel support. Venture for America Fellowship - Venture for America is a two-year fellowship program for recent college graduates interested in entrepreneurship and working in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment. VFA Fellows interview with vetted company partners across U.S. cities with emerging startup ecosystems. After securing the right full-time, salaried job, Fellows train for a month with world-class business leaders and entrepreneurs to build the skills they’ll need to succeed in a startup environment and as founders.. Fulbright/National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellowship - The Fulbright/National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellowship is a new component of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program that provides opportunities for U.S. citizens to participate in an academic year of overseas travel and digital storytelling in up to three countries on a globally significant social or environmental topic. In addition to receiving Fulbright benefits (for travel, stipend, health, etc.), Fellows will receive instruction in digital storytelling techniques and will be paired with one or more National Geographic editors. Mandela Washington Fellowship - The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, begun in 2014, is the flagship program of President Obama’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) that empowers young people through academic coursework, leadership training, and networking at a U.S. higher education institution. Fellows receive support for professional development after they return home. The Fellows, who are between the ages of 25 and 35, have established records of accomplishment in promoting innovation and positive change in their organizations, institutions, communities, and countries. Halcyon Incubator - The Halcyon Incubator program equips early-stage social entrepreneurs with the support they need to transform audacious ideas into scalable and sustainable ventures, and change the world. Fellows learn many aspects of running a business, receive mentorship throughout the entire process and make connections that will benefit them as they move forward with their idea. The fellowship includes a 5-month residency at the Halcyon House in Washington, DC, workspace after the initial training and a stipend. Available to social entrepreneurs from around the world who are fluent in English and have legal work status in the U.S. during the time of the fellowship. JAARS Fellowship - JAARS is a multidisciplinary team of problem-solvers who are committed to the belief that people’s lives and communities are transformed as they experience God’s Word in their own language. JAARS Fellows is an 11-month, merit-based, professional opportunity providing entry into fellows’ first career position. Fellows join staff in key positions and receive a spiritual and personal mentor as well as life skills training, intercultural communication development and a bi-weekly stipend. A Blade of Grass Fellowship - A Blade of Grass (ABOG) provide resources to artists who demonstrate artistic excellence and serve as innovative conduits for social change. The ABOG Fellowship for Socially Engaged Art is an active, year-long funding relationship. Fellows will become active members in a cohort and participants in a program that features a range of services, including project support of $20,000 with minimal restriction. Proposed projects will be judged on artistic excellence, capacity to enact social change, viability in everyday life, and fit with fellowship resources. Bush Fellowship - Bush Fellows receive a flexible grant of up to $100,000 that can be used over 12 to 24 months to pursue the education and experiences they need to become more effective leaders in their community. Bush Fellows may use the grant to pursue a self-designed leadership development plan. Fellows may not direct grant funds to another person, organization or project. They may also use the grant to start or complete a degree-seeking program, anything from an undergraduate degree to a PhD. Applicants to the Bush Fellowship Program must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, at least 24 years old and must have lived for one continuous year immediately prior to the application deadline in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or one of the 23 Native nations that shares the same geographic area. Atlanta Media Fellowship - The Atlantic Media Fellowship is a structured, year-long paid fellowship for high-achieving recent college graduates committed to editorial-side or business-side careers in media. Additionally, the Atlantic Media Fellows participate in the Atlantic Media Academy, a comprehensive curriculum providing a 360-degree view of the modern media industry covering the editorial, operational, and economic sides of both print and digital journalism today. This Fellowship is a paid opportunity. We currently offer two sessions: January – December and July – June. All Fellowship opportunities will be located in either Washington, DC or New York City.
