2021 Planner Setup

2021 Planner Setup

I use a variety of systems to manage and organize my life. This year I am using a total of 8 planners/notebooks and one digital app.

Here is my 2021 Lineup:

(1) Standard Issue Notebook No. 03 - Designed by Designworks Ink (Available at Papersource, Barnes and Noble and Amazon).

My favorite components of this notebook:

(1) It lays flat when it’s open, making it easy to write on both the front and back sides of each page.

(2) It has a hard cover, which means you don’t need to have an additional surface when writing. It’s like a built in clipboard.

(3) It’s size 6.75 x 8.5 inches makes it very portable.

Use:

I use this notebook for brainstorming, planning content for social media, and other ideas.

(2) Journal - Purchased at Anthropologie

My favorite components of this journal:

(1) I love the soft suede cover and the cream & gold fringe.

(2) The pages have a rugged appearance and they are unlined making it easy to not just write but to also draw and paste things onto the page.

Use:

This is my journal that I use to process my emotions and to write out my thoughts. My journals last me anywhere from 6 months - 1 year+ depending no how frequently I write in them. I have been journaling since I was a little girl. It is one of my favorite practices.

(3) Tarot Notebook - (By Yoobi, Purchased at Target)

My favorite components of this notebook:

(1) The glitter cover! Glitter is my favorite color.

(2) For every Yoobi item purchased, a Yoobi item is donated to a classroom in need in the U.S.

(3) I love the hardcover, making it easy to write in the notebook without any additional surface. I also love that the pages lay flat.

Use:

I use this notebook to write down my Tarot Spreads. I started the notebook in August of 2018 and I’m not even at the halfway mark.

(4) Work Notebook - Moleskine, purchased at Target. Also available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon.

What I love about this notebook:

(1) It’s sleek and professional.

(2) It’s large, so there is plenty of space to write and keep ideas that go together on the same page.

(3) Moleskines are classic notebooks. Similar to my other favorites, it has the hard cover. It’s also not as thick as some of the other notebooks.

Use:

I use this notebook to take notes during my Camp Equity meetings as well as to track my work-related to do list.

(5) Many Moons Lunar Planner - Purchased here.

Favorite Components:

(1) I love that this tracks the moon phases and astrology.

(2) The rituals are so well thought out and always right on time in terms of inspiring reflection and deep thought.

Use:
I use this journal to track my prayers, my gratitude and other trends. It often includes reflection questions that I respond to in my journal. I’ve been using this journal for 3 years now. You do have to usually pre-order because they sell out fast.

(5) Happy Planner: Adventure Awaits (Purchased at Michaels, also available at JoAnns and the Happy Planner Website).

Favorite Components of this Planner:

(1) The colors and the graphics. I love the smoky shades of pink, and the gold foil.

(2) The Dashboard Layout (the dashboard layout includes a weekly page that includes a page with the following sections: “Errands, To Buy, Calls/Emails, Bills To Pay & Focus On.”

Use: This year, my primary planner is a Happy Planner with a Horizontal Layout, so it does not include the dashboard. I will be using the Adventure Awaits planner strictly for it’s dashboard, and I will be using the monthly pages to track my bills and financials. I will be using a “Frankenplanning” approach this year, which is basically where you combine different planners into one system. You can watch this YouTube Video here by The Organized Money to learn more about Frankenplanning.

(5) Happy Planner: Define Your Passion (Purchased at Michaels, also available at JoAnns and the Happy Planner Website).

I am a huge fan of the Happy Planner system! It is easily customizable and works beautifully. I also love to add stickers and other decorative elements.

Use:
I am using this planner because it has the Vertical Layout. This will allow me to track my social media content and other business related things.

(5) Happy Planner: This Is My Year of Dreams Coming True (Purchased from the Happy Planner Website, also available at Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics).

What I Love About This Planner:

(1) I am a fan of animal prints and this planner has a leopard theme.

(2) I love the Horizontal Layout for managing my day to day life. It has plenty of space for me to write things down for each day and I love how a single week is visible on two pages. This past year I used the Dashboard Layout and I felt like I had to cram things in to a much smaller space.

Use:

I use this planner to track appointments, to do lists, financial related things like paydays, bill due dates, etc. I also use it to record important things that happen.

(5) App: Fantastical (Available in mobile, desktop and tablet edition here.)

I love Fantastical, because I have about 3-4 different Google Calendar Accounts that all feed into it. My previous job used Outlook, and that synced to Fantastical as well. As someone who has multiple businesses, it is important that I see all of my obligations in one space. I am also working remotely, so I can add Zoom links or whatever other access details directly to the calendar which makes it easy to show up when and where I am needed without much trouble.
